Went for a meal after a long time and it was brilliant. My wife and I had a great time with good food and beer that was like nectar from the gods. All delivered by a great lady who was both attentive and very funny in these troubled times a bit of humour goes a long way Carol thanks for a great evening.

Visited the Axe & Cleaver on multiple occasions, pre-covid and during COVID and always found the staff to be very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food has always been cooked to perfection during our visits and the establishment has always looked neat and tidy. Some building work going on at the front of the premises but no impact at all. Also a decent size beer garden that wraps around the exterior of the building. Ample free parking on-site behind the restaurant. Would definitely recommend booking in advance as the place is usually busy all the time.

Great food and super friendly service as always. The staff have clearly worked hard to make you feel comfortable and safe in the current climate too. Get in there and support them in these difficult times.

I arrived without prebooking for the eat out to help out . However, from their car park, I rang to ask if there was a table inside available. I was warmly welcomed, offered a table in the entrance section as the dining area was full. I was very happy to accept the table which was well within the pub. The service was good and attentive. Best of all the food was delicious and very well presented. Thank you!
