I love Sixt rental , I rent for many years now all over the US and when I travel abroad- but Then you run Into to some serious car issues (technical) in middle of summer which is the busiest time, and you encounter a manager like Emma, who is the most unprofessional being you may encounter/ - she couldn’t care less about my car issues, or finding a solution. The supervisor in Paris ended up having some words with her to try to help out/. But she still enjoyed being awful at her job - this kind of thing make me want to never book with Sixt/ - ever again.

I was given a very nice car and the petrol tank was filled. Upon returning the car on 22nd July I asked the ladies at the SiXT station to come and check the car, I also offered them the proof that I had filled the petrol tank (which is what I was requested to do when I collected the car on 7th July), and they said they did not need the proof and they would check the car later. So I was surprised when (back home) I got an invoice in which they charged me 17,99 EUR for refilling the petrol tank, and even 10,83 EUR for the service of refilling, i.e. 34,58 EUR 20% VAT 41,50 EUR for something they didn't do, nor was required ! (Re: invoice 947020607).
My first time to rent a car in France. The Sixt staff are very professional, accommodating and nice. The renting process is short and simple. I had a pleasant surprise upgrade to a relatively new car. The hand out and return is fast and easy. Will definitely rent here again.
Really the worst car return situation I had in my live ! Closed gates just one small sign at the closed gate. It took really really long late night. You have to ignore the signs don't drive in here and find your way !!! Get your mobile ready because you need the light. The invoice took long too !

Visited in September, 2019 as part of a vacation in France. We needed a car for the day and chose Sixt as our rental agency due to the reviews on line - the other rental agencies in the area were cheaper, but the reviews were not nearly as good. I must say, the rating of Sixt was well-deserved. The individual at the counter was very friendly and switched over to excellent English as soon as he realized my French was not the best. Check-in was very quick, the car was right where we expected it to be, and was in great condition and very clean. Returning the vehicle was easy - took less than 3 minutes and was very well handled. The only issue was figuring out where to drop off the car, but that is a function of how the station has chosen to sign the area, more than anything else. This location of Sixt is highly recommended for anyone's rental needs.
I am a frequent client of Sixt around Europe but first time here. I was very well welcomed, got the keys super quickly as often at Sixt and found the car easily. A small upgrade from our initial class (the lowest) to a Small Opel SUV make our trip even better for the day. We were welcomed back to give the car back. The person was junior but well coached by a more experienced employee. Will clearly rent again through Sixt the day I come back to Avignon
Our one-day rental at the Avignon TGV station was a very positive experience overall. From the smooth car pick-up in the morning, assisted very professionally by trainee Dennis (if I remember correctly), to the return in the evening, handled equally well by Nicolas. We would not hesitate to recommend Sixt to our friends planning car rentals in Europe.
