The old station buildings remain at Aviemore on both sides of the platforms. It is worth walking up and down either side to see the impressive architecture. I visited in March the sun was bright there were one or two people waiting. Some of the station buildings have other businesses in them. Aviemore Station is very central and trains are pretty frequent north and south.

Great station in the middle of town, it has gorgeous views of the mountains

Great station staff are friendly and it's well maintained, can't complain at all, also there is a steam service that runs from here which you can ask about at a separate office on platform 2. I had lots of photos but they magically disappeared, Edit: I found the photos.

Highland resort, for all types of outdoor activities, but you will need very deep pockets especially if you have teenage children, great fun with lots to do but it is expensive

A nice and clean station in the heart of the town. The staff are helpful and friendly. Next door to the steam train plus gorgeous views of the Cairngorms mountains
