WOW! What a treat - I HIGHLY recommend this. We are fans of chef's table menus when possible and this one was done very well. Service was timed impeccably and everyone that we asked questions of had very well-informed answers about the food. We all had different cocktails or beers.

We had reservations at 6:30 Friday for two, but arrived with three. They accommodated us with a smile and made us feel very welcome. Our wait staff was fun and attentive and there when we needed her. Food recommendations were spot on with the reception of the mushroom agnolotti which was a bit bland for my taste. The short ribs and the pork tenderloin was awesome.

Chefs choice was amazing
It seems to me that many restaurants downtown are trying to thread the needle between casual and classy. Avelina seems to do just that and more importantly they don't forget the quality of the food in pursuit of the vision. From the bread to the steak all was good. The cocktails aren't groundbreaking but there seems to something for everyone (particularly for a gin drinker like me). I will return.
