Zero stars worst system and worst state government officials that don't care equally for all people. Why 65 years olds require three contacts in Hidalgo county where unemployment rate is 12.% and Covid infections are between 750-800 people daily and local county judge advised people to stay home. For Tarrant county for example there is zero contact requirement to get unemployment. Hidalgo county has 150 thousands undocumented residents and besides some construction the rest of the economy is pretty much dead. After searching for ten months for a job on line I finally was able to get email from employer in Michigan that they maybe hiring in June or July 2021. So Texas Governor, if you wanna help all people in hardship give us all unemployed financial help and treat people equally. Right now in UK all unemployed get financial help and just stay home, they have no stupid work search rules like in Texas. And who will ever check these contacts by the way, waste of time.

I knew this was a horrible and fractured system before the pandemic- but this is down right cruel. I can not express to you how awful it is to live like this. The stress and uncertainty of not knowing because no one will answer your call or give you any information is beyond anything I have experienced before. I do not know how the people who work for unemployment and manage the system can live with themselves knowing what is happening to people because of their lack of communication, horrible customer service and general disregard for human decency! If you are understaffed - hire more people- clearly there are tons of people in Texas who need jobs!!! If no stars or a negative rating was possible then I would leave it that - one star is WAY too generous.
If I could give NO stars I would... I requested on my designated date because it was a holiday I was understanding. My perception was I would receive my benefits being released today Monday. I received nothing so I call and get a generalized message stating how they are aware of an issue with processing payments and are working to get it resolved you don’t need to call. Like what in the hell rent is due bills are due this is the holidays this is totally unacceptable for the state to think this was even remotely ok to address this issue in such manner.
They constantly ignore disabilities, all of the numbers that they give you hang up on you or are never answered, they refuse to give you anything in writing that their ancient system doesn't already show, the employees give different answers to the same questions everytime you manage to talk to them, and they demand money that they overpaid while you're still unemployed during a pandemic. The way this place is run is genuinely disgusting and not for the greater good of anyone struggling
Hour long hold times only to get dropped, and you have to call someone just to call the actual person you need to talk to. This is some outdated cubicle life dialup internet operation that probably still sends fax’s between another.
