I heard today Dec 22, 2019, an Excellent SERMON BY PASTOR on: -- You are Not Your Mistakes of the Past! Bury them now and forget them completely,... just grasp the Reality of the \present moment\ or yr Actual Situation (like in \Mindfulness\) and also plan some ideas or Visualize things you highly value to do or say in your Future! ....... These ideas were very practical and useful! I liked your Presb. Church.

It was great. The Preacher & his congritayion are very nice & friendly. I try to attend with my Sister when I'm in Austin visiting my her & her family. Preacher Greg gives a great sermon.

First and foremost, this church is incredibly welcoming and inclusive. They will embrace you with open arms regardless of your personal beliefs, sexual orientation, creed, color, gender identity, etc. This is not the type of church that will judge you. My parents started taking me here almost 30 years ago, and now I can't wait to take my own child. The community is so open & welcoming that I truly didn't realize people used religion as a means to judge and tear others down until I was older. The ministers give amazing sermons, and as the new wave of younger ministers come in I see that same approachability that makes each sermon interesting & easily understandable. You'll be totally involved & rapt in their message (no pun intended). And you won't have to worry that anyone will notice you nodding off because you'll truly be interested in what the minister has to say. The congregation is so kind, warm, and will welcome you with open arms. I've attended many difference churches- with friends, in other cities, & for religious studies courses in college, and very few rival the warmth and inclusivity of Shepherd of the Hills Christian Church.
