Great first impression...he came into the room singing to my younger daughter and then related very well to my teenager who had injured his foot. The ER doc we originally went to thought he had a sprain but told us to see an orthopedist as a followup. Dr. Gottchalk was able to quickly identify a fractured bone that the ER doc hadn't seen in the original xrays. He said it should heal on it's own after a few weeks and gave us precautions to take. ...and told us we didn't need a followup visit unless we experienced any other issues.

We met Dr. Gottschalk for the first time today for a follow up on an vacation injury that I didn’t feel got the best care out of town. Dr. G was amazing! I was so impressed that he introduced himself to my apprehensive child and took the time to win him over. He is clearly smart, educated and good at what he does, and equally important, he was kind, relaxed and really put me at ease too. His exam was much more thorough than the previous doctor we saw and I had confidence in his diagnosis and recommendations. He was exactly what we were hoping to find in a physician and I’m so glad to have him on our medical team! As a side note, sometimes you love the dr and are disappointed by the staff, but everyone we encountered at his south office was very nice, especially the nurse and X-ray tech!

Dr Gottschalk was a blessing to my family. Extremely talented but most importantly compassionate to my 7 year old daughter. I cannot thank him and his practice enough.

Hands down the best ortho MD in town! I can't thank him enough for an excellent surgery procedure of our daughter's elbow fracture. He gave her love of gymnastics back. To top it all, he has been very kind and takes time to explain everything and thoroughly. 10 stars.

I read the google reviews of Dr. Gottschalk before we saw him for my son's broken leg. He was better than his 5 star review. His bed side manner was impressive and his ability to talk direct to parents while at the same time related to the child was most impressive. You can tell he loves his job.
