My 18 year old daughter/UT student was there a few hours ago for a Severe headache she’s had for 2 days. I am 3 hours away and couldn’t be there. Per my daughter’s report the doctor did not even touch/examine her. No imaging or lab tests were done but she was told it wasn’t meningitis. She was given an injection that she was told was for pain but the nurse said it was Compazine. I’m a Nurse Practitioner but anyone could use Google to find out that’s for nausea/vomiting. Not for pain! No emergency contact information was ever obtained so if she had rapidly declined who would they have called?! She was released after about an hour and told maybe she just slept wrong. She’s still not feeling well and is alone in her dorm room. I am not satisfied with the level or care she was given and have advised her to go to a different ER If she doesn’t start feeling better.

If it was possible to give this hospital 0 stars I would. After their securtiy caused me to have to check myself into hospital due to causing me to have a severe anxiety attack and start hyperventilating, they charged me 2600 to lay in a bed and cry. Why they would have an officer that rude that doesn't know how to recognize and calm a person having an anxiety attack at the front door of a hospital with a psych ward is beyond me. My insurance already paid out over 2000 and now I'm getting calls and bills daily for a hospital visit that the hospital caused. Worst experience ever and now I have permanent anxiety about visiting anyone at any hospital. As for the Community Manager who keeps pasting the generic we will help you response with a phone number, I've already spoken to several people and they don't care so please don't bother. Edit: Notice the copy and past response as if they didn't even read my post?

I cannot begin to describe how pleased I am with the care my daughter received here! She needed emergency surgery and I live 2 1/2 hours away. The physicians I spoke with were kind, compassionate and informative. Thank you for taking such good care of my daughter!

World class facility, diverse array of experts in their field, and unrivaled personal care redefines the hospital experience. Especially impressed with Dr. Freeman’s compassion and Dr. Ashour’s brilliance.

I’ve been a volunteer here, worked here, and have been going to school next door for several years and have great things to say about this hospital. Medically speaking, the quality of care and price point are fair and high quality. Food wise, the cafeteria is great tasting and at a good price. The selection and diversity of food is impressive. Atmosphere is open, bright, airy, not stuffy or unclean. Parking is convenient but should be free or highly reduced. There is an pharmacy inside for public use. The developed area around Waller Creek behind the hospital is beautiful, green and relaxing. It’s my choice of ER in town and had some of the best trauma surgeons around.
