Working with Beyond the Dog has really helped our doggo. He has changed so much in a short amount of time! In addition, they have been easy to communicate with and work with and very responsive. I really recommend this program to help behavior change in dogs.

We had a great experience with Beyond the Dog! Our 3 year old rescue dog (Mila) is a sweetheart and takes to commands pretty well, but was terrible at walking on a leash and would exhibit some leash aggression no matter what tricks we had tried in the past. After just three weeks of working with Alexis (and Alexis working with us as well) her behavior on the leash has completely transformed. Alexis was always punctual for training sessions and more importantly was great at helping us understand Mila's precursors to her behavior and how to help treat/curb her behavior in a positive way that has made a HUGE difference. Mila loves going for walks now. We couldn't be happier with the results, I highly recommend BTD and Alexis!

Beyond the Dog took the time to show Kenzo how to become a family pet that everyone can enjoy, as well as give us the knowledge to continue with his training in the future. Alexis with Beyond the Dog helped us so much! We rescued a 1 1/2 year old greyhound who's a delightful, sweet dog who was born and raised in a racing kennel, and who needed help to learn how to be a house dog and how to participate in my psychotherapy sessions. We wanted to learn how to train Nyxie in a positive, fun way. (We had a bad training experience with our past dog, with a trainer who used dominance-based techniques.) Alexis listened to our concerns (about Nyxie and about training techniques), and she was brilliant. She patiently taught with both Nyxie us, she was extremely responsive, and she made the training fun for all of us. Nyxie is now very polite, calm, and excellent on a leash. I never knew life with a new dog could be this fun and easy.
Alexis from Beyond the Dog taught us & our little guy SO much!! We started off with a 4 month old golden retriever/lab/boxer/shepherd/goofball mix who didn't understand what his leash was let alone walking on it properly. He would zig zag and choke himself bc he was so excited to meet other dogs/people. Now we have a 6 month old muuuuuch more attentive goofball who walks at our side and listens to commands in distracting environments. You can see how much she really cares about your pupper. I did several virtual training sessions with Alexis to help my older dog deal with his anxiety. She listened carefully and asked important questions when determining what the problems were. She was able to give me a straight forward training plan that I could follow. Within days my dog had made progress. Now, several weeks later, he is like another dog. He is no longer afraid of going on walks, me cooking in the kitchen, when it gets dark, etc. She responded to any questions I emailed her quickly and was flexible when scheduling Google Meets times. I highly recommend this company and Alexis, in particular.
