I work for a large manufacturing company in north Austin. We used Balcones Shred to dispose of old disk drives we have been storing for years. They were very easy to work with and most of all, very accommodating to our needs! I would recommend using them for any size shredding job!

Just destroyed about 2000 lbs. of medical documents... 100% professional, secure, & recommended!!! Note this is an industrial level materials processing & recycling facility (i.e. big trucks, truck scales, loaders, etc.) but with GREAT customer service.
Not crazy about the customer service. Recently we have called as they missed pick up and have an overflow of paper (medical documents) to dispose of. They have not been out yet. We have asked for an extra bag as they only gave us one, to which we were told it isn't in our contract. A company that is not looking to meet the needs of our office is poor customer service. We will be looking into another company.
Terrible customer service! We have used this company for a while now, and they run in and run out before they pick up all of our papers to be shredded - they leave before all employees have had a chance to empty their shred boxes. Last straw - came to the door during lunchtime when the office was closed - knocked and didn't give a chance for the staff to unlock the door. Drove off quickly and refused to come back for a week!! We officially terminated them and went with another local company. This contract with our practice was lost solely on the terrible customer service of their field agents. The man was here today to make his last pickup and take the box and he was extremely rude and said he didn't have time for us to gather all boxes and dump them before he left. From the time he walked in to the time he left was easily under three minutes!
So happy with the service we received today! The driver (Mario) was here before 8am (which is awesome because we close at noon on Fridays) and was so helpful! He was unaware that we arranged to have extra boxes picked up today, but he went above and beyond to help us. He carried the boxes, he made an extra trip to his truck, and he even helped me when one of the boxes fell & made a mess. Since we know what day we're scheduled to have pick-up, we try to have everything ready for when the driver arrives. I read other reviews and I'm surprised that offices complain when they are the ones unprepared. We've been very happy with the service we've received. And we're grateful for the extra assistance we got today. We look forward to working together another year.
