Vet Center counselors and groups are really really helpful. Vet Center does not base their care on how much money you make so the Reviewer below must be talking about some other office. Here are the services I am aware of and have sat in on: Individual Counseling Relationship Management. Mindfullness TaiChi Yoga Anger Management OIF/OEF Group They also have a full time DAV representative officed here that can help with VA Claims. This is a wonderful organization, location and gem of resources.

These people are great. I accidentally ended up here while looking for the bigger Austin VA Outpatient Clinic. But I'm very glad I did they offer a lot of services for veterans from counseling for PTSD, Mental Health and provide a lot of resources for finding jobs and generally in improving the life of a veteran. They're pretty knowledgeable and on things that they didn't know about such as the parenting classes that I was looking for they went and did the research while I was there and came back out and provided me with the information that I needed. Above and beyond their job description my opinion I say thanks to them and definitely recommend other vets go there when in need.

If I could give NO STARS I would. This place is HORRIBLE!!!! My husband went to seek help with his mental status and they straight up told him that we make too much money for them to help him. Are you kidding me???!! This place is a joke

THIS IS NOT THE VETERANS HOSPITAL/CLINIC in Austin, this is a mental health counseling facility seperate from that location. Googe is stupid and lists this facility as a veterans hospital it is not. Search VA outpatient clinic to find what you need.

I had a horrible experience with primary care desk B today! Dr. Gomaldi? Or something like that. The doctors and nurses talk badly about you even when you are in ear-range of them! They treated me like I was making up symptoms and adding symptoms at the last minute. I only wanted to know if I had a bladder infection or kidney infection or something. I also had conjunctivitis. Because I had two things wrong, they treated me like I was taking up all of their precious time. I filled out a green sheet and listed all of my symptoms but they kept asking me to repeat them over and over. Then they accused me of adding things to the list at the last minute! They were so rude! The doctor told me that I should really stop wasting his time because he hasn't eaten all day. It really makes me sad to think that they are treating other veterans this way. I don't even come in to the doctors that often, thank God.
