I was a student at AOMA, and during my time there dated another student who incidentally was crazy and has PTSD (and made sure everyone knew it). At some point she began going behind my back to the administration and telling them stories about me. And they actually listened and took her side. In fact one of them Robert Laguna thought he was her knight in shining armor and almost tried to expel me.... Of course I came to know later that Rob was giving her presents including a bike and that Roberts wife also has PTSD. Obviously a conflict of interest.... and obviously preferential treatment. Incidentally I took leave from AOMA and when I talked about coming back they made sure I knew I wasn't welcome. But I have since heard that she is back there doing her doctorate.

This school was highly recommended by a doctor who treated my child for her chronic migraine. Her pain has been 24/7 for 3 weeks, and Dr. Jing made a breakthrough today that no one else has been able to do, since Aug. 26. I’m grateful beyond belief that we’re on the right track, and my child’s pain will soon end.

The fact that the school continually receives transfers from THSU, PCOM, and others says more than anything else. I would add that the teachers are enthusiastic and very well-versed. The students are diverse and welcoming AF. And the curriculum is wide enough to give you a secure knowledge about all aspects of acupuncture and herbology.

The staff, administration, and program advisors are very accessible, helpful and there is always someone to help the students with a question. There is an integrity and congruency w wealth and higher education that permeatrs the institution. They are organized, and this helps w response times and effectiveness. For out of state students, they'll make you feel welcome and help you get settled in to the bustling city of Austin for your studies. I highly recommend them to any prospective student of Oriental Medicine.
