My son has been enrolled at UMAD since June 2020. Coming from another Martial Arts school, my family and I have been greatly impressed by Sensei Crosby’s ability to relate to children and instill a thirst for learning. Not only does he teach skills necessary to become a martial artist, he is teaching life skills to set children up for success well into adulthood. My son is not only learning to execute techniques but rather he is learning why these techniques are useful. I would recommend UMAD to anyone without reservation.

We decided to enroll our daughter a few mo the ago and it has been the best decision. She enjoys it so much and Crosby works very well with the children. He is patient but at the same time he demands respect. I can see a difference in my child’s personality and attitude. She is more confident and outgoing, and she talks about ethics and respect a lot. Really good environment all around.

My son has been with Sensei Crosby for over 2 1/2 years and anyone who has come with us to class has marvelled at how great he is with his students. He is patient, but firm, which is a tough balancing act that he manages perfectly. The kids have fun, but learn important lessons beyond their karate skills. I can not say enough wonderful things about UMAD.

My son is learning karate from UMAD with Sensei Crosby and every moment has been a pleasant experience. My son is five years old and we discovered this dojo through an after school program offered at my son's school. I could not be more pleased with the confidence building, firm patience, defense techniques, self respect and many other things that my son is developing by attending classes here. He was already a well behaved child for five years old, but with this class, he's more than thriving in all aspects. Highly recommended!
