Just going through my travel journal and stumbled on my Ting tea card and it occurred to me I didn't drop a review from my last visit. They have a great variety of fresh drinks. I couldn't resist having a cup of domineering orange everyday while in Auckland. Thanks Dave for recommending Ting to me and if you're seeing this, just know you now owe me a cup of Ting tea everyday when next I visit Auckland.

We stopped by to try out their bubble tea but saw that they also had interesting flavoured bread so we tried some of those too. The place is fairly new but does have a large seating area upstairs. You order at the bottom level on Lorne Street and then pick it up upstairs. There are a few tables here to sit and relax for a bit. I had wanted to try their taro pearl milk tea but they were out so I opted for the walnut cheese pearl milk tea when it was recommended. We were able to try the taro and cheese bread through. I thought that the walnut cheese tea was interesting. Crunchy bits of walnut with the salty cheese and the chewy pearls. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but was pleasantly surprised with this. We almost didn't get the bread since they forgot and we got the last one even though we ordered it beforehand. We actually had to ask them about it after a while. It was a nice place for an afternoon snack since they had nice bread and teas,

I have a cup milk tea of work every day on this shop. The efficiency is much faster than just opening time. I can get it in less than ten minutes. My friends also like to drink. We often meet there. Oh, it is really suitable for gatherings. Staff service It is especially comfortable and enjoyable. The bread here is also very good. It is the first time I have eaten this kind of bread in New Zealand. Although I don't know what the name is. I especially recommend the taro-flavored milk tea.

Had their grapefruit red tea before and loved it, but was heavily disappointed by quality of the strawberry Bobo today.. there wasn't much strawberry flavour and the drink tasted oddly plastic-y and artificial.

This is the only reason I go to that street. Highly recommended for milk tea lovers, and hell yeah they have divinely made dessert.

The store design is amazing. It has such a nice atmosphere because it has nice lighting and really aesthetic decor. Not going to lie, that was half the reason why I walked in to Ting instead of GongCha on the other side of the street. The menu is clear, and the staff speak English well. The tea is on the expensive side, but is good quality and presented well - especially thanks to neat branding. The drink cup is decently sized for the price, and feels nice to hold. The reason I can only give 2 stars is because I had to wait for over half an hour for my drink to finally be finished. Maybe it was just a bad day for them? I also work in hospitality, so I know it can be stressful, but none of the staff I saw looked like they were in any hurry or at all bothered that there were so many people sitting near the pick up bench twirling receipts in their otherwise empty hands. After the half an hour it took for the 'ready' order number to climb up to my number, it passed mine and I couln't see my drink anywhere. I had to ask where it was up to, and it seemed that they had lost my order. I then had to wait another 5 minutes for them to start making it. I hope they improve their service efficiency soon, because the store has everything going for it otherwise. Edit: I returned for a second chance today, and their service was much better. I am changing my rating to 4 stars because the girl at the til was very helpful in her descriptions of the beverages, and my drink was ready in 3 minutes this time. I went during an hour that was less busy though, so it still remains to be seen whether they can handle peak times well. The Oreo Milk Tea is nice, but I think the Rose Oolong Tea is better. If you look at the 360 view in photos, Ting is where the Lorne Street Larder used to be. Maps Street View is a little out of date.
