This place is a hidden gem! They serve one of the best lamb dishes I've tried in Sydney. Their Somali tea is a delight as well. So happy with the quality of their food. Definitely will to come back!

Really delicious food. I had never tried East African food prior to this experience, and I was blown away by how rich the flavours were. We enjoyed a deep and flavourful complimentary beef soup, along with two very fulfilling mains. Easily worth the price, highly recommended.
So delicious. I've had Ethiopian meals in Ethiopia and Kenya and wot and tibs tested as good. To avoid hurried and harried people be disappointed, excellent meals take time and you need to exercise patience eating in or takeaway. If they can speed up i would give 5 stars.
Lamb Mandi was delicious. Lamb was cooked perfectly, soft and tender with so much flavour. Injeri with the various sides was also very yummy Broth soup was also delicious! Generous portions Friendly staff who are hard working Convenient to public transport Low key, relaxed atmosphere - If heading there for dinner, arrive early to avoid disappointment of desired dishes running out. Overall, I can't wait to return!
I came here on recommendation and have been delighted by the great quality and tasty authentic food. The owner went out of his way to advise us on the menu and our selection, friendly and efficient. This is a simple place with homestyle quality food and service. I will definitely come back again and again.
Absolutely beautiful food! Very easy and friendly communication about doing a large order ahead of time and easy pickup. Food was wonderful to share with family, can't wait to eat leftovers!!!

Salam cafe offers delicious, authentic Ethiopian food in generous portion sizes. We tried the suga wot combo and lamb Mandi followed by Ethiopian coffee. The dishes were flavourful and the coffee smooth. Staff were pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back.
