It was at one point called Auberge, The Buck and then Back to the Buck. It has now reopened as The Buck. It's interior is cosy, modern, it has a good selection of drinks, a jukebox and the staff are quite welcoming. This establishment is ideal for small groups. There is a smoking area to the rear and it's right next door to one of the best chippies in Annan.

This historical local pub is in the past itself now as it closed it's doors on the 27th of January 2020. It is with great sadness that this hostelry closed as I myself started my drinking days in this and other pubs in Annan. Robert the Bard Burns, Bonnie Prince Charlie and other historical characters have surely imbibed in the\ Buck\ as it was originally named. Many local worthies are remembered namely Wassel, Tommy Frood(hope spelling is right) Birkie, Hughie Cairns with his Cairnfall disco his brother Davie and many more oh yes Jacko and Sandy Jackson, Johnny Waite and many many more to numerous too mention here oh and Max Hall who was instrumental in working for the current lease holder Stevie Keates on the opening and closing of this always to be remembered Annan local.
