A lovely little fishery out in the Norfolk countryside. Being totally honest there was a lack of swims due to far end being overrun with lily's/weed which in my opinion could do with a bit of clearing but in terms of the fishing it was such a refreshing change to fish a venue that's not a 'hole in the ground stock pond'. My son caught his first ever decent sized tench at over 4lb along with 6 other other small ones plus some lovely small crucians and I managed a roach of 1lb 7oz and a few decent tench to 5lb. Somewhere a little bit different from what has become the norm!! I just need to try the trout side of things as well now.

Ok, maybe unusual to rate a venue having never been there and I've never reviewed anything before but I just have to say, when looking to start fishing again after a long break I searched for a local water and found Rocklands. I enquired via email about the course lake and had many questions (apologies Katie) and I have to say the communication and helpfulness has been second to none, and that, in my book goes a long way and what my review is based on. Now booked and looking forward to my first session.

Went for an hours casting tuition from James. It was my first time ever fly casting and with the one to one lesson I felt I was actually beginning to get the hang of it. Afterwards I spent a few hours fishing and practising casting. Managed to catch and release 3 rainbow trout, though missed several bites. Had a great time and am keen to visit again in the near future - though its a good hours drive from home.
