Beautiful place to see what the Atlantikwall
like
Walking trail along part of the Antlantikwall. The Germans built this wall during WWII to halt the advance of enemy amoured divisions in the case of a coastal invasion. The entire wall consists of two long sections interrupted by an open sand area filled with dragon teeth. About 6 small, very basic bunkers are attached to the back of the wall and at each end near the field of dragon teeth. Only a small part of the wall on the south side is accessible to the public by means of a trail, the rest of the wall with the bunkers and the dragon teeth field is gated off. The trail is a sand trail so not very accessible for wheelchairs. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the trail and it is easy to do with children. The trail starts right after the ticket booth at the entrance of the Panbos and parking lot on your left side. You can park at the Panbos parking lot. Free parking. Entrance ticket to Panbos required (2 for an adult 4 children, cash or debit card).
Nice place for a Sunday stroll, take the kids or just go out for a walk in the nature
Looks cool and is in a very nice nature reserve. I recommend going here for a days walk in the spring, summer and autumn.
