Nice little spot for live jazz music. The singer we had the pleasure to listen to was Sugar Lipps and her voice was beautiful. The food was okay. I got the white fish, rice pilaf and green beans. It was good. My husband got the chicken breast and roasted potatoes...it wasn't to good. The drinks were good...two fuzzy peaches or something like that. Not strong at all. They are practicing social distancing and I saw ladies constantly wiping down frequently touched surfaces. So that was a plus. Gratuity of 18% is included in the check and our server Jamaica was pleasant. There is a table charge or entrance fee based on where you decide to sit or how close to the stage you go. We sat in the bar chairs and high tables so our fee was 40. Overall would visit again much earlier to enjoy the vibes as we arrived at 10:20pm and they close at 11:30pm.due to this mostly all the items we wanted off the menu were done or sold out.

I wish I could give it 5 stars but our server was not knowledgeable and took an extremely long time to come to the table. Food, ambiance, and music was really good! Very beautiful set up and attentive professional hostess. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and hope to return for another show soon.
This is truly an amazing place. Words actually cant explain the experience. The atmosphere is strictly for grown folks. The drinks were on point & the staff are truly professional. I will definitely be making a trip back to Atlanta JUST to experience this atmosphere AGAIN. If you are on your grown folks vibe. St. James Live! is a MUST experience.
First and last time ever visiting. I drove 45 minutes to attend an event by a promoter at this establishment. The service was horrible. The food that I ordered was worse. My drinks were on spot. However, our server ignored us the entire night. Eventually, he brought out my ticket which included an 18% gratuity. I advised the server that his service was horrible and that I would not be paying any gratuity. He then called the manager. The manager advised that the gratuity goes to the kitchen staff and that it was policy. I then advised that I would not be paying it and he then involved a cop. I explained the situation to a very nice female cop and she didn't agree with the manager. The manager then called another cop and attempted to fight me. The manager said the policy was listed in the menu. I advised him to show me the menu and he did and it did advise that an 18% gratuity was included. However, I didn't order from this menu I ordered from a 1 page paper menu that made no mention. However, I paid the bill and would never come to St. James Live again nor will I ever recommend coming. Not once the manager asked about my issues with service nor did he attempt to rectify the situation. Honestly, an apology would have been sufficient. Please take your money and spend elsewhere.
I will be.back. The band was awesome. Very nice upscale jazz spot. The owners were nice people. Look forward to trying the food next time.
