I just had my first baby in early July and was doing some research to determine which pediatrician to bring him to. I live in College Park and was overjoyed to discover this practice that was so close to home. Despite the average reviews I decided to take a chance and visit the practice once my good friend who is a local Pediatric Emergency Room doctor confirmed that she had never heard anything bad about Dr. Drayton. The pediatric ER doctors tend to know most of the local pediatricians in town. Booking an appointment was smooth. The office was clean and proper social distancing was practiced. Everyone was pleasant from the front office staff to the nurse who greeted us with a cheerful “good morning”. Dr. Drayton was knowledgeable, confident, and had excellent bedside manner. She performed a necessary procedure on my baby and ensured his comfort from start to finish. I am an adult Emergency Physician and generally don’t reveal this unless asked. When it came to Dr. Drayton I could tell it wouldn’t matter. She treats everyone with the utmost professionalism and respect. Don’t hesitate to book an appointment with this practice. I, for one, look forward to our follow-up appointment in 3 weeks.

The practice is convenient to my family. The front desk receptionists customer service skills were poor, she seemed like she did not want to be at work. The wait time to be seen by the nurse was 28 minutes even after doing the extensive online check-in prior to the appointment. The nurse was great, detailed, and very friendly with my son. There was another 30 minute wait by the doctor who spent less then 10 minutes doing a full examination, speaking ONLY to my six year old. After she asked him to get dressed and she began leaving the room I realized the appointment was coming to an end. I asked her, “when do we talk about any concerns or questions?” She replied “oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you had any.” I only see a physician once a year and the nurse wrote notes about one major concern I had. Why wouldn’t I have questions? Or better yet why not ask BEFORE saying “everything’s good see you next year?” My son had to re-undress because some of my concerns were skin related. Overall the entire appointment and lack of concern was disgusting. This business is clearly in it for the money and numbers. They don’t care about their patients overall health and I will not be returning or recommending this practice.

Dr. Brown is the worst. She took for ever to send the prescription to the pharmacy and then after saying she was gonna send a prescription for something she seen in one of my son ears later said she not gonna send that prescription cause he didn't have infection. What kind of professionalism is that. Switching doctors asap
