This is my peaceful picnic spot. I come here often for a breather or to just snack on some good food in Atlanta. I even Grubhub or DoorDash the food to me and they always know where to find me! It’s a beautiful place for taking photos or just relaxing. It’s opened until sunset, I believe. Security passes by with no problems. BUT there is a HUGE bird (falcon maybe) that sits right outside this area. It scared me the first time but he seems to not be a bother.

A great place to visit, certainly make sure you have some time if you’re into history, it can take a few hours to get through everything and see the whole place.

I was fortunate enough to have come here prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was in town for the Publix Atlanta Marathon and stopped in here before heading to the airport for my evening flight home. The price of admission was 12 which was paid in the souvenir shop. There was plenty to see which had me here for about 2 hours. If you're in the Atlanta area and you like history, politics, and/or museums, you should definitely plan to come here for a visit!

It is a very interesting museum filled on with lots of trivia about Jimmy Carter and his life during the presidency, as well as pre and post. The collection is great, but I lowered my rating by 1 star because I found the employees to be a lot less friendly than those at other presidential libraries - they treated it like security and a job, as opposed to at other sites where they treat it like an interest and a passion.

I had the greatest honor meeting and taking a picture with my favorite president and First Lady Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter.
