As a court reporter who worked for them, they showed me absolutely no professional courtesy, took more than half (63%) of my pay, and blamed me for their broken down communication/distorted system. These large firms seem to be ruining what was once an amazing career. Especially this one. As an attorney/client: I would advise you to go to another firm, especially a private reporter who has time to accurately and in a timely manner, complete your jobs. As a reporter: I would suggest you go out on your own, or work for the other two firms in Atlanta. You will not find sustenant work here.

Update: Raised to 3 stars. I was able to finally work with someone to resolve our issue. It only took having to deal with 3 different people. Always get an estimate before ordering! They do have a great turnaround time for the transcripts you do order though. This is the most overpriced, unreasonable place that I have ever dealt with. Do not use them for any court reporting services, unless you have an unlimited budget. Total racket with insurance companies and their lawyers to charge outrageous prices for transcript copies to the non ordering party, for work already completed for the ordering party. You have been warned!

Attorneys should be cautious when considering Esquire. I received an invoice several months after a deposition because Esquire was sending it to the wrong address. Esquire sent the invoice to the wrong address despite the court reporter having my business card and the deposition taking place in my office. During the months that Esquire was billing the wrong address, the case settled and all funds were disbursed. In personal injury cases, most firms are reimbursed for case expenses after a case settles. Due to Esquire's mistake, my firm was faced with asking the client to pay the belated bill (after funds were disbursed) or absorbing the expense ourselves. Why? Because Esquire refused to void the bill after I explained the situation. Of course, my firm paid the bill instead of bothering our client, but the fact remains that Esquire's mistake was avoidable and easy to remedy. There are plenty of court reporting firms in Georgia with more integrity and better customer service. I understand that mistakes are sometimes made but I recommend you do business with a company that will admit its mistakes and do the right thing to fix any problems the mistake caused. Esquire is not that company.

This company charges 2.25 a page for copying even if its a condensed version and then a 45.00 processing fee!!!!!!!! for a deposition we did not order and were only asking for a copy of the transcript!!!! You might as well get the full copy - we paid 245 dollars plus just for 18 pages !!!! This cost goes on to the client - talk about adding insult to injury!!! Maybe I do not understand how this works but seems to me that the side that is ordering the deposition should be paying the court reporter and taking most of the cost. Just to get a copy of something the other side basically already paid for and charging this amount seems ridiculous!!
