Had a get my passport renewed quick, as I had an unexpected trip out of the country. They were friendly and extremely helpful! I'm not sure how they've received negative comments other than they may have had new people come onboard, over the past 5 years or so, and they fixed any previous issues.

I was disappointed not to be able to submit my passport application here but someone did help me by looking at my passport photos and application to make sure everything was in order. There's some conflicting information on the foreign affairs website versus what I was told in person. Have your parking validated at the consulate before you leave.
