Very traditional place, located next to the fish market. Greek food, tasty and fresh. Live music is super nice. Pls notice that they close early- about 17:00 or 18:00 so this place is great for lunch.

Very nice and tasty. Tastes very fresh. Good service It is a traditional restaurant on the edge of the market, so gets fresh sea food from the market. Prices also very good I paid 38 euros for all what shown on the table Thanks very much
We were visiting Aris taverns in the market today and had a great experience! Food was super fresh, veriaty of Greek salads and spreads, fresh fish from the market grilled or fried with good spices and the service was perfect. Aris and his family will host you, as you are a guest in their home and the total experience of eating in the market with local music will live you with a great memories for years to come. Price is more than fair.. Don't miss it!
A bit of a delusion, the three stars are a bit generous already... We had great expectations, the restaurant is just next the fish market so you would expect the best fish of your life. Anyhow, of what we tried, the grilled octopus was rubbery and almost raw at the thicker end (we had to leave some of it), the fried anchovies were not crispy, and the aubergine salad was very salty. The highlight of the lunch was the fried squid, which was good. Not the best fish restaurant in Athens for sure. Prices were reasonable and service was nice, but still, food was not that good.
I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic greek grilled seafood in Athens. It’s located inside the municipal market. This restaurant is managed by a family and they focus on keeping the traditional side of greek food. Everything I ordered was delicious. The service is very friendly and they took the time to make suggestions and recommendations about the dishes.
A hidden gem! Great and friendly staff, the seafood and fish are excellent, well cooked. We also enjoyed the house wine! Prices are very reasonable, family run, and close to the market. Whatever you want to buy from the menu is instantly bought from the fish and meat market nearby and then masterly grilled on spot, so it's as fresh and tasty as it gets. I totally recommend this taverna. My favorite restaurant after a exploring all the hidden spots of Athens.
We ate here while in Athens and were pleasantly suprised by the quality of the food! Ordered the grilled squid shrimps, which were very tasty! Service was excellent! The location is inside the central market of Athens, so you‘ll get the freshest fish and meats! Excellent price-value, would recommend!
I went here with my family for dinner.It is a pleasant place with very friendly staff. The food was perfect, modest portions and speedy service which always makes for a better evening. The prices were very reasonable as well. I totally recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy a traditional greek meal.
