This place has a very creative kitchen with a lot of influence from Asian (not only Japanese) food combined with the French style of cooking. The food is wonderful, the result of the creativity is stunningly good. I my opinion better than the once famous HanTing (Michelin Star) in The Hague, also known for combining the French style of cooking with Asian influences. The different dishes are well thought out and skilfully cooked. For example the noodles (several different types) are perfect and have their own taste; that is rare in the Netherlands. The dishes of the 6 course menu all have very different tastes and I was really impressed by the combinations of genuine Asian food in a French style solution. The setting is nice, a small and cozy restaurant with an open kitchen. The direct contact with the chefs and the other staff makes the experience more personal. It results in a vibrating atmosphere. As a guest alone I am used to tables in far away corners, but to my surprise I got a very nice location with a direct view into the kitchen. Hygiene is good, nice clean toilets with some cute Asian painting as a nice touch. The price-quality balance was amazing... Great place!!!

Our impression of Le Yuzu was positive. A very cosy and nice dining place with an open kitchen, seeing the chefs in action. I liked that very much. The hospitality & interactions with the staff were good. I am pleased with the service, presentation of the food and overall atmosphere. Nonetheless, I expected much more of the presented dishes. The reviews were good and I was convinced that this was a good choice for dining out. I always enjoy being surprised by the chef's menu and what he serves up for the day. We had a 3 course meal; The amuse was okay. Nothing much to add to that. The first bite of the first course had us wondering where is the salt! I figured, maybe by the second bite with the sauce, that it will all come together. It was still bland. Okay....second course came after almost 45 minutes waiting. This was delicious!!! Everything on that plate work together amazingly. And the coconut sauce.... We waiting about 30 minutes for the 3rd course, expecting that this would just blow up wonders on our palettes, but it was just as bland as the 1st course. The sauce tasted like the maggi jus package that you would buy at the grocery store. I was disappointed. And the meat was nice and tender but there was no taste. Maybe I expected too much based on the reviews, but today Le Yuzu didn't hit a home run for me.

We genoten gisteren van de Yusu-box; genieten dus. Ook bij afhaal (corona) blijkt Le Yusu een prima 'adres'.
