If your looking for a mystical experience then the woods of this monastery are the place to have it. The energy this place gives you is like few other forest can give. It is something out of a Tolkien's book.
What a powerful and majestic place this was. You feel the area had a completely different vibration here than just down the rode. Impressive to see where Assisi’s hermitage was and where he walked, etc.
Beautiful place to visit and the nature walk is so peaceful.
Do visit. It's a mere 90min walk (slow) from Porta Cappuccini. Although you can eat over there you can find many picnic tables on the way up/down with stunning view on the valley. The place itself is really moving. The walks inside the park are very pleasant especially since silence is required
