I highly recommend Lyrebird for language studies because of the excellent and dedicated teachers as well as the flexible and adaptable teaching classes. Ken is an excellent teacher. He is very patient and will keep patiently correcting you till you get it right. The classes are fun, with additional learning materials, links and cultural learning points. If you are looking for structured Mandarin learning with great teachers who have a flexible friendly approach to teaching, then Lyrebird Language Centre is the way to go.

Ellie is such a wonderful teacher. A friend recommended her and she’s been so encouraging for my two boys. We’ve tried other language schools in the past and they hated them. Ellie is firm, and the boys work for her and their confidence is growing. She’s incredibly encouraging. It’s so wonderful when you find the right fit for your kids and when you find a teacher who is clearly invested in helping children grow and reach their potential.

I had wanted to prepare to take the HSK5 exam in between university classes this year, and had a private tutor with Lyrebird Language Centre to help me study effectively. The class times were very flexible, so as to fit in with my schedule, and my private tutor was extremely helpful in making sure I understood all of the content. My tutor was also able to provide me with lots of additional resources to help me study more effectively in my own time. Overall it has been a very positive experience, and I would definitely go to them again if I needed more Chinese help in the future.
