I've been to ASK Italian twice (Merry Hill and Lichfield) including today and I can never say a bad word about it. The food is always soooooo good and the staff really friendly. Definitely my go to place.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here last week. We had booked a table, on our arrival it was noticable that tables were well spaced and protocols were in place for everyones safety. Our server observed the protocols throughout our meal. Most of our meals were of a good standard, and the one that was below standard was reduced as compensation. The whole experience was a very satisfying.
The food was very tasty and well presented. The side salads were very fresh and crisp. They had a wide range of options on the menu including vegan dishes. It was a good atmosphere and well frequented for a late evening on a Tuesday. On the night we attended there were Italians to our left and French to our right, so it attracts a cosmopolitan crowd. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Two courses, a couple of side dishes, drinks and coffee approximately 28 a head.
My daughter and her friend visited Wednesday evening.Were informed no starters available Main course was cold incorrectly drained Pasta which was barely edible...The pasta served was not the pasta ordered on the menu! Desert was OK Service was rushed throughout and clearly staff just wanted my daughter and her friend (both aged 16yrs) to finish and leave... To add insult to injury staff without consent then added a \good service\ tip of 7 to their bill which was politely declined . Put simply as parents who frequent restaurants in Lichfield it is clear this establishment needs to address many issues and not believe they can provide poor food and service to younger customers. Our advice would be to choose one of the other excellent Italian food establishments locally. Put simply AVOID. A zero star rating would be more reflective of this establishment.
Had meal socially distanced outside with friends. Perfect service, beautiful food, never felt rushed, could not do enough for us. Would definitely recommend. Will be our go to place next time we visit .
