Played Ashbourne GC in May 2017. It's a very good little track that's located only a short distance from the Greenman Inn in Ashbourne. Keep your eyes peeled for the small signs to the course as they're easy to miss. Ashbourne is a 9 hole course played over some gently undulating country. The course features well grassed fairways and bent grass greens. There are no bunkers. Some highlights of the course are the massive pine & gum trees that come into play on most holes. The course is relatively straightforward and not a huge challenge if you keep the ball in the shirt grass and is a very pleasant walk. I thought holes 1-7 were very good however the 8th/9th are not great holes which is a shame. The greens are relatively small, on the day I played the greens were extremely soft & bumpy but I'm sure they come up great on weekends or for tournaments. Green fees are 10/9 or 15/18 which represents fantastic value. Definitely worth a game here, the clubhouse is also good (open limited hours) and there's a fantastic undercover BBQ area adjacent to the first tee.

This was my first ever golf course I played at. I remember the dew on the green helping me with my putting, the call of bird life, and the moo's of cows close by. Was perfect for my introduction to golf!!!

Ashbourne golf course is always maintained to perfection, great course, pretty standard holes but enough variety to keep you guessing throughout the 9 holes.

Have played there a few times now.. great course for a quick 9 holes at a great price of 10 or 15 for 18..well looked after greens
