Avoid. I was quoted 14 for collection of a ride on mower, 30 diagnostic charge and 14 delivery back. I was looking for a new machine, I enquired about theirs they had on sale. I was given a very detailed talk by the director about one they were selling as a back hander for someone else that in the end I decided was not suitable for my needs. They would have been happy to sell it to me despite this! Since I didn’t make a purchase my original bill of 58 has somehow risen to 76! As I am having it collected by someone else the original quote should have been reduced to 44. Conveniently, the “director” is in meetings all day so was unable to raise this concern with him. They were unable to provide me with a receipt and I had to ASK for my change having paid cash! Avoid avoid avoid.

Visited Owens on 15th May and found the staff very helpful indeed. Bought a Mountfield SP485HWV mower. It was checked over, some fuel added, oil checked and tested. Also loaded into the back of the car for us. Service focused on honest advice rather than pushing us to a deal that was best for the dealer. Refreshing! On getting home, it was out on the lawn straight away, started first pull and cut like a dream. Easy to manoeuvre, great variable speed drive and convenient height adjustment. Also the handle height can be adjusted very easily to find a comfortable position. All round a great product and service from the dealer. Very pleased.
