Awesome takeaway! We ordered online from their website. Was ready to collect when I arrived at the restaurant. It was totally delicious! Thank you Asakusa and hope we can come and eat-in soon!

One of, if not the best Japanese restaurant in London. Very unassuming from the outside, but once you step in you (pre-COVID!) bustle into as close to a Japanese Izakiya (Japanese pub) as you can get. It was always extremely busy so booking in advanced was standard practice. The food is great. Authentic Japanese food - if in doubt, consider that they have Hamburg Steak on the menu, which is just the most Japanese you can get! There is a sushi chef preparing food and you can occasionally sit at the court to watch him. The menu can be a little intimidating if you are not familiar with Japanese food, but the staff are helpful. 5*

Second time I’ve been to this place and I can’t not give a review anymore. If you come, you MUST try the Nasu Dengaku (deep fried aubergine and miso). This place was recommended by a Japanese friend who was very keen that I tried the food and I am passing down this recommendation. The food is authentic, with quality ingredients and a very good service and atmosphere. The only BUT I’d say about Asakusa is the price, which is steep. Nonetheless the food is worth it.

Absolutely delicious takeaway. Mixed Sashimi platter was fresh and flavourful. Okonomiyaki Stick was hot, delicious and covered with all the trimmings. Pumpkin Croquettes in the bento were freshy, crispy, and portion size was excellent. Delivery time was long (per their deliveroo delivery window), but it was WELL worth the wait.

Loved this place! We had scallops, gyoza, sashimi, pumpkin korokke, soba noodles, warm edemame and all were delicious. Our favorite was the nasu dengaku- fried aubergine with miso. Service was flawless (a well-communicated short wait over a beer for a great table). We will be back!
