Best takeaway in the area. I order vegetarian dishes, which always all taste different (unusual for Indian places), and they focus on spices and flavour here - rather than intense heat to cover up lack of culinary skill. They are always friendly when I call in my order, and quick to deliver. I recommend the okra and aubergine side dishes in themselves - out of this world! I've been ordering here for years, after a friend recommended it... and as an Asian who is fussy about takeaways, it can't be faulted. Thanks Art of Spices for making my weekend.
Have previously really, really enjoyed art of spices but have been recently very let down with my meal. The paneer curry just tasted of butter and the rice just tasted of oil. Very disappointing, and doesn't feel great to eat something so fatty.
We ordered yesterday over the phone with my boyfriend and unfortunately both of us are now terribly sick and struggling with the common symptoms of food poisoning (which I won't describe for obvious reasons). I just checked and apparently the food hygiene rating is only 3 out of 5. I sincerely can't recommend this place anymore (I was an ocassional costumer before) and unfortunately won't have any food from here ever again after this terrible experience.
