We had an excellent visit here. We were given a very detailed explanation of all the traditional sweets, all made from only egg, sugar, and nuts, using recipes from the 1800s and earlier. The sweets themselves are very unique (in a good way!), and nothing like anything I've had before. I recommend getting 1 of everything to share with espressos, very satisfying!
A fantastic example of the living tradition of portuguese conventual sweets. An obligatory stop for anyone visiting the region. This attraction will make the whole family happy.

Delicious traditional sweets, nice selection of tea and infusions, beautiful place, really nice staff. Totally recommend the Castanhas de Ovos.
Great sweets not such good staf
A very cozy and comfortable place for a work meeting or even to go with a friend or family. Try "charutos" or "amêndoas" traditional bakery from the convent. Actually we can see the convent on the other side of the road.
