My father passed away suddenly in August at Stoke Mandeville hospital. It was painful enough losing him but sheer incompetence from said hospital meant that his family was being denied the chance to see him and say \Goodbye\. I phoned Arnold Funeral Services, explained what had happened and asked if we would be able to come see him and say our final goodbyes once it has collected his body. Thankfully, the coronavirus protocol was not as stringent as earlier in the year, meaning that Arnold Funeral Services was able to do this for us and he could be dressed in his own clothes. In the interim, Jill helped me plan the funeral for my father; she was kind and patient but professional and steadfast. At such a devastating time, it is so important to feel that you have the support of someone who is in control. However, at the same time, I did not feel forced or coerced into anything; I was able to arrange the modest and very private service that suited my father. When the time came to visit my father 'in state', I was absolutely terrified and my mum was bereft. However, he was laid out so respectfully, in his own, comfortable clothes and looked at peace for the first time in several years. This will offer my mum immense comfort in the years to come. We were also offered the opportunity to come and see him as many times as we wanted before the funeral. The funeral itself was very modest and personal and Jill was there to support us throughout the service. It was the perfect ceremony for my father and his family. No one ever wants to say \Goodbye\ to their loved ones. However, I am so thankful that we had the professionalism and support of Arnold Funeral Services throughout this monumental time in my family's life. I can never thank Jill enough for her time and help.

My husband Brian had chosen Arnold’s before his death and I now realise why They treated us with such compassion throughout this very difficult time Jill was so kind and understanding and helped us as a family through this extremely difficult time.
