Great to have proper customer service! I ordered a batch of oatcakes that were in date but stale when they arrived (so not Hartley's fault). I sent an email and they called to say they'd send a fresh batch when received from the supplier. They have arrived and are fine. Thank you Hartley's!!!

Quite disappointed really. Came from Nijmegen to check this shop out only as a British expat. The selection was quite small really. Asked for tins of spaghetti and got a very complex story of how she couldn't sell me any, then begrudgingly sold me 2 cans. If you can't sell them I really don't mind, but was an odd experience. My Dutch is getting better now but was hoping I could speak English in the English Shop - wasn't to be. Sadly quite a wasted trip and won't be going back.
