Love living here! Cute and modern . Little noisy as front doors are large and people slam them all the time. Leasing team is awesome! Andrew and Christa are awesome! Overall, 9/10 recommend

I moved to the Latitudes Apartments mid-November and am really glad I made this move. Living in a new apartment is so much better than the last place which was nearly 20 years old. New, modern appliances, very quiet HVAC, modern bathrooms with quite a few “Extras” that make things really convenient. If you have a few minutes, plan a tour of the Latitude Apartments. The amenities on the Rooftop and the Clubroom are quite amazing!!

If you had asked me early November what I would rate Latitude, it would have been 4 stars. However, the complex has started to take away resident services and has not lowered rent to compensate. First, they have implemented Fetch Package. This means that instead of popping downstairs to pick up your package at the front desk, you have to mail your package to a warehouse in Alexandria and schedule a time for it to get delivered. The Greystar management team sold this as an added service but I have no idea how you could look at it that way. There is no way to opt out - the building will refuse packages. Plus, introducing a third party during COVID seems entirely irresponsible. Next, to add insult to injury, they have taken away the complimentary Hello Alfred, which is a personal assistance service. If you want Hello Alfred, you have to pay and it is pretty expensive. With the Virginia Square metro potentially closing for the foreseeable future as well, I would look elsewhere. There are great qualities about living here - the apartments are nice, Quincy Park is close by, the leasing manager and assistant manager are great. However, the removal of services without resident input and without lowering rent sets a dangerous precedent for a complex. We had loved living here up until November, but Greystar has left a bad taste in our mouths. I would recommend looking elsewhere as we will as soon as our lease is up.

I was charged for 400 for water, hot water heating, and sewer for the first month I moved in. I checked the meters, and there were ton of hot water usage couple days before I moved in here.

I lived at Latitude for one year when it was managed by Greystar: Pros: It is right across from the Virginia Square metro. The concierge staff are really friendly. The residents are also friendly. Some of the staff is competent. Cons: The fire alarms go off everyday. There is no exaggeration here. I used to get home at 5 pm and the fire alarms would go off within about 15-30 mins. The worst was when I was in the shower in the evenings and it would go off, or if you’re at the gym you have to break your workout. And there are some pretty frequent ones that occur around 10 PM to 11 PM. It was extremely upsetting to my dog as you can imagine. A few times I found evidence of them going off while I was at work, in which I really felt bad for my dog. The noise was very loud for me I can only imagine his distress. The hot water does go out very frequently, which I never understood. The finishes look good until you get close up on them. You can tell that this building was put up quickly and that attention to detail and quality was not a priority. Overall, I would not rent there again. The deal breaker for me was definitely the fire alarms. I’ve lived in many apartments for almost 10 years and have never seen fire alarms go off like they do there. I think the system needs to be redone to be less sensitive to daily cooking. There is no guest parking or guest parking passes.
