I have had RA now 19 years. Im 21. I went to Miller for 13 years. He only was treating my pain. Never treated the disease itself. When we switched doctors, she saw how much damage has been done. She said this wouldnt be as bad if i was started on biologics (orincia) when i was younger. I highly reccomend those with children to not go to him. He isnt treating what actually need to be treated. Over the 13 years i have so much damage now to my wrist due to not being on the medication you are suppose to be on. Please save yourself. This is a horrible disease and needs to be treated right. Not just by pain medication!

RUN!!!! DO NOT GO TO DR. MILLER!!! If you love your children and want to keep them, do not go to this doctor!!! WORST bedside manner! If you do not comply with everything he says, he will take custody of your children! He is ruthless, arrogant and should not practice any type of service. You would think after practicing for so many years (he's 61) that he would have gotten it right by now!! NOPE!!! DO NOT GO TO DR. MILLER!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!
My daughter has seen Dr. Miller since she was 5. She is almost 21 now and still sees him occasionally. He has treated her for idiopathic rheumatoid arthritis (what they used to call JRA) all this time, so believe me, we really know this doctor and feel that we can give him a very meaningful review. When I first brought her to him she had seen doctors in Los Angeles ( a very famous rheumatologist at UCLA had ruled out JRA, by an MRI) and later in the Chicago Area. I took her for two years to all sorts of specialists and finally a hand surgeon at Northwestern (Dr. Wiedrich, who found that the MRI at UCLA was not done properly) figured out that it was JRA after all and sent us to Dr. Miller. Her first joint involved was her wrist, which could not be flexed or extended at all. It was almost unbelievable that just one joint could be so inflamed. After several months of trying various things, Dr. Miller hit on the solution, which was one well delivered cortisone shot. The wrist has been fine ever since and she actually became an accomplished cellist; something I would have thought impossible during the years before we met Dr. Miller when we were trying to get a diagnosis. She has had flare ups all her life in one knee and occasionally other places, and Dr. Miller has always been able to get it under control with medicine or cortisone shots. He even referred her to another rheumatologist, he personally knows and has high regard for, near the university she attends, so she could get help there. He is a wonderful physician who stays up to date at conferences and is always learning and exploring new options. He is a very caring doctor and very personable. He even has office hours in the suburbs which is convenient. I absolutely recommend him.
