There are many reasons I love Spain, but the food is certainly at the top of this list. El Lagar de Isilla was exactly what I needed after a long day of vineyard walks. Completely laid back and rustic with a very local feel, with classic preparations of the region, which happen to perfectly fit my diet and cravings. Perfectly prepared and seasoned--I left thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommended for a hungry traveler!!!

Excellent food from this region. The offer of different wines is really huge! Service very good and patient. Not to mention that the waiter didn’t push to eat more. Overall a superb experience. Also ask for visiting the “bodega”, the wine cellar. If you visit the bodega be aware that it is cold underground.

One of my favorite restaurants in one of my favorite towns in Spain. You have to try the lechazo, roasted lamb, if you come here. It is their signature dish. But make sure you don't miss the roasted red peppers. Everything we ate was wonderful, steak, potatoes, dessert. And the service was really good in spite of being there on a very busy Saturday. Make sure you take a few minutes after lunch to go 50 feet underground and tour the nearly thousand year old Bodega.

If you’re driving to Bilbao, San Seb, or anywhere up north, you must stop at Aranda de Duero and specifically at this restaurant. Great service. Decent price. And the roast lamb is to die for. Get the 1/2 lamb and get here early. We stopped for lunch and at 1:30 (when the dining area opens, we were the 3rd no reservation table and almost all other tables were reserved.

Great beautiful food. You should not go pass the lamb from the wood fired oven which is mouth watering amazing. Don't forget to wander downstairs to explore the underground cellar where the ancient wines were stored.
