5* fish and chips but don't be caught out by their published opening times. According to Google they close at 9:30 so I went there and found them closed. On the window it says they close at 8:30 so I returned another day just after 8:00 and they were closed again! Seems they actually close at 8:00! Third time lucky tonight. Large cod and chips with a battered sausage and it was 1st class!

Excellent fish & chips. The chips were fluffy and not greasy. The fish was really fresh and chunky with delicious batter. My pet hate is stale oil in the fryer and this tasted like the oil had been very recently changed. Not the cheapest but still good value for money. Would go again next time we’re in town.

Good fish and chips, generous portions although can vary in size from time to time. Nice polite staff and coping well with the current restrictions. Recommend the shop at the top of the hill over the hight Street branch as I've found it generally better
