The beginnings of what could be an interesting heritage railway.
Beautiful little preserved railway, you can even drive a train now for just 5 (driver for a fiver), which was an amazing experience.
Railway run by volunteers no full time staff. Set in beautiful surroundings. Ride on a train for about two and half miles there and back. Then have a go at driving a train. Tea and coffee and have a look around. This line was used for passenger and goods traffic before the Ministry of Defence used the line to transport tanks , personal and other equipment for practice on the firing range over looking the station. I am sure you will enjoy your visit. Keith
