A decent public onsen in town. 450yen, and 100 yen for the locker (big enough for small bags). Has a few different baths, with one being 'outside', in the cold. There's also a 95deg sauna which is very intense. There's a nice place to chill downstairs, with massage available for a fee (3500yen for 1hr body massage) and a cafeteria to eat and drink. All in all, a very standard bath, with locals visiting and bringing their own toiletries. Worth a try!

Great onsen! This place has a variety of baths so you can get a good mix of temperatures (the cold pool is the perfect temperature), plenty of showers, and a dry sauna. It also has an outdoor area where you can hangout in the snow and then bathe in a hot bath actually filled with rocks. You buy a ticket from the vending machine to enter. I suggest bringing your own towel. There are lockers inside the changing room as well. The staff at the front desk welcomed me very kindly. I always feel weird using the onsen as a foreigner because it is so intimate, and it has an important history for Japanese people. I felt welcome here, and I also felt like I wasn't invading the space, so that was really nice.

450. A fairly typical public bath. Perfect after a cold day. Payment through vending machine to right as you enter. Baths are upstairs. 3 main baths, sauna and plunge poor. Outside area with no view but nice as the snow fell. Tatami room and restaurant to relax in afterwards.
