The wonderful troupe of the Chekhov Theater completed its 84th season with a premiere, playing The White Rabbit or \When Not All is Home\ by Mary Chase's \Harvey\. Despite the fact that the building needs some repairs and the buffet really adhears to the long-standing Soviet traditions (standards), you will be satisfied with the performance of your favorite actors, if you visit them in the 85th anniversary season, which opens on 8th of September.

Great theater, great actors and overall outstanding place to spend the evening. Ticket prices are very affordable (around 7 max. price) and it is a pleasure to visit the theater on a regular basis. Great!
This is the only theater in town that sticks to classical traditions of Russian acting. Actors are dedicated and genuine - all classical dramas are worth visiting. Director K. Haret is both a great actor and an advocate of the theater who makes sure it moves forward with improvements (new production & upgrades around the theater). Highly recommend!
The inside of the theater is actually quite nice contrary to the outside appearance. The seats in the main theater are kinda close to each other but comfortable. One of the side theaters is small and not very comfortable but the main one is good.
I love this Russian theater!! Who speaks Russian by me is the best theater. Good actors and famous operas....bravo!

One of the few Russian theaters in Chisinau. A good team of actors, however some performances are simplistic and boring. To my surprise, the online ticket purchasing is working well and is user friendly. The ticket prices are usually between 90 and 140 MDL.
The plays and actors are wonderful. Recommend to everyone.
