Ann's BBQ is one of Toledo's best kept secrets. I first learned of Ann's in the 1980s. Great barbecue ! ! Why drive to Mississippi to get your barbecue when Ann's is a short distance from anywhere in the Toledo area. It is well worth the trip. Excellent food and moderately priced. Overall I wasn't too impressed, however the sauce was good and spicy but the ribs were skinny and chicken was DRY
Ordered over the phone older lady took my order she had the most nasty attitude I've ran across from a older professional person in years. From yelling to telling me to just bring my money and come on. I went because I wanted to put a face to this rude person. Once I arrived there was a older man in the small waiting area waiting on his order that was giving her lessons on how to talk to customers. long story short a complete turn off . Ribs were dry sauce was like water. And to top it all off this rude lady just sat there in a lawn chair behind the window yelling at practically everyone even the cook. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WANTING GOOD FOOD AND FRIENDLY SERVICE.
The recipe has not changed everytime is like the first time I tasted from porks to poles to ribs to shrimp platter
