I've been a fan of The Ecology Center ever since its formation (when I was just a kid). They have been THE local organization instrumental in establishing vital programs, practices, priorities, and research in our community, that indeed have nationwide impact, and even beyond, such as: * A national leader in the promotion, establishment, and development of community recycling programs in the 1970's. * If I recollect correctly, they were also engaged in the establishment of our community gardening program, also in the early 70's. * A critical investigator, researcher, and watchdog helping to safeguard us from toxic and hazardous consumer products. * An advocate and educator for climate-safe, healthy, sustainable, and renewable practices, at the citywide level, as well as on that of the individual. * A collaborator with other organizations that share the same or overlapping interests.

I enjoyed being here as a fellow. I learned a lot about public health, environment and politics. I also liked the setting of their office.
Great place that does so much for the ecological health of Ann Arbor.
