I moved to the area almost five years ago and discovered Angus butcher. The meat here is fantastic quality, most from local farms in Northumberland. It's obvious that the owner knows his business very well as the butchering of the meat is always perfect. The mince is high quality and all of the products produced on site are fantastic quality, the sausages, burgers and in particular the homemade chorizo are all fabulous. I definitely will never purchase meat products anywhere else, and am always pleased to see that the shop is still really busy. So many family run proper butchers have been forced out of business by the supermarkets, selling factory farmed and butchered cheap meat, but it's testament to the overall quality and service of everyone at Angus that it appears to go from strength to strength.
