A lovely hill fort near Andover. Although the inside of the ring is private land, you can still walk on the wooded old earthworks around it.

(Small) hill fort without the hill! Public footpath around top of inner rampart, accessible from north and south. Walk through woodland - beech, ash, sycamore, birch - centre of fort is cleared private land. I approached from the south, where it's a short walk from the road, (parking in layby for two cars, just to the west of Upper Clatford; footpath is signed but not immediately obvious if you are driving). I understand that the northern access is a footpath from Andover.
Lovely for a walk round. Make sure you note where you came in
Not much to look at other than a big dead tree and some dead wheelbarrows but a brilliant circular walk
Beautiful views the stretch out forever in all directions.
