Absolute pleasure to work with! He only needed a few photos and a couple of questions to make a diagnosis. Was upfront that he believed he had an idea of what the issue was but that he couldn’t make a promise to fix the issue until he could see the machine. Explained the trip charge which of you own these classic machines you realize they may actually be un-fixable or there may not be parts but you’ll need to pay for diagnostic and travel time. Tom was able to both diagnose and fix the machine in a short period of time. He also took a look at another multi-play game I have and make a suggestion on controllers to improve game play. He may literally be one of the most knowledgeable people on the planet of retro coin op classic games. Thanks Amusement Doctor extremely happy with the service you provide!
The pinball machines here are superior
Called and asked for help on a arcade game I bought used. Guy seemed nice enough. He asked me to send pics, which I did. I couldn’t get a response without continued efforts. Finally, after continued texts I got a simple “This is not something I can take on, sorry.” That was it. No explanation whatsoever. I asked for an explanation and if he knew another option. He recommended I go to Seattle which is a ridiculous recommendation. Not sure if this person can’t or won’t help, but customer service and communication are not strong suits.
We have used Tom (aka The Amusement Doctor) for many years. Our family has owned arcade games for my entire life and he has fixed them all and has continued to keep them running so that my kids can now play with them. He has complete knowledge of the arcade world and is very passionate about his work. I would highly recommend his expertise and work if you want to keep and enjoy your arcade games.
