When our client entered insolvency with 2 months fees owing a significant financial hole was left in my PCN engagement. After approaching 20 years of contracting this was my first such experience and it caused a great deal of anxiety and worry during these COVID/ Brexit/ IR35 impacted times. Given other people's experiences and the reputation of the recruitment industry I was not expecting a smooth ride, preparations were in place for a long and tough negotiation in our endeavour to reach a mutually agreeable solution. My expectations were changed 180 degrees as the dialogue started. I found Jordan was open, fully transparent and collaborative throughout the uncertainty and showed understanding and compassion through what was obviously, from a commercial perspective, a very difficult gap to bridge. An innovative turn in thinking enabled us to quickly reach agreement, put smiles on faces, and remove both parties from a particularly sticky situation. Thanks very much Jordan for quickly and painlessly turning round what was undoubtedly my most difficult commercial situation as a Limited Company Director.
