This taqueria is a TRUE addition to Amsterdam-East, what a great and colorful place! Great, because their food is prepared to a high standard and supertasty. I had the soft fishtacos and they came with an onionring on top. I've never had an onionring THAT crunchy and flavorful, loved it. The shrimp tostada was super delicious, I think one of my favorite. The shrimp is flavorsome and all the condiments just really well compliment each other! My friend had a meaty taco, according to him: superdelish! The vegan chilaquiles is a fantastic dish to share (if you're into that sort of thing). Ofcourse we drank Michelada and a variety tequilas to nip, not to slam. The tequila assortment really shows that Local Dealer is selecting qualitative, authentic and special tequilas and mezcals; not the usual suspects. I appreciate that! Overall: I will come back, this place is absolutely worth it and again: a GREAT addition to Amsterdam East!

I moved into the area last year just when Local Dealer was opening, from an area where we had no good bars/restaurants nearby. What a dangerous thing to do.. Local Dealer serves superb food, great drinks and has a really awesome atmosphere (when they are allowed to accept diners directly of course). We highly recommend the chilaquiles, lamb tacos/burritos and the tropical Micheladas to drink, but honestly there are no bad choices on the menu. Don't expect a cheap meal, but the price/quality is absolutely excellent as well. Staff are also always extremely friendly. The complete package!
Most highly recommended. What a great surprise. Such an unassuming little place on the market square. Don't be mistaken by the seaside snackbar-esque looks for this little gem really delivers on the food. I can honestly say I have not eaten such tasty inspiring dishes for a very long time. Each dish was prepared like a top restaurant and served by very friendly and enthusiastic staff. There is plenty of choice for vegans and meateaters alike. Not often do I give a 5 star rating but I cannot fault the food or the service. It may be less appealing to sit inside in the colder months but just turn up for the fabulous food. Don't hesitate to book this place before there is a waiting list for months when word gets out.
We had the chilaquiles & some tacos (chicken, beef & lamb). Everything was delicious and fresh. Real authentic Mexican food like we had on our last visit to Mexico (I was incredibly surprised). The service does get a bit slower as they get busier in the evening, however they are very friendly and provide a lot of details on each dish which definitely makes up for it. My only complaint is that the hottest salsa was not hot enough for my liking :), it was however packed with flavour! Would HIGHLY recommend.
This place is amazing. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. I recommend to try the vegan pastor and lamb tacos, those are the best I have tried at Amsterdam. Good price- value offer.
