Jacaranda Tree Montessori is Amsterdam’s only Montessori playgroup and welcomes international parents with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. A beautiful, calm environment with lots of light and space located near the Vondelpark. The children love exploring all the Montessori activities and materials. The children follow their unique rhythm as they explore the environment and have an opportunity to socialise with other children. The baby class is for sitting and crawling babies to 16 months. This class is an introduction to Montessori for parent and child. At around 16 months the children join the toddler class with activities such as cutting and sewing, making themselves orange juice, and caring for the space, eg, watering the plants. From 2.5 years children may join the afternoon preschooler class. The activities are more challenging including baking, craft and more. In all classes the children enjoy coming together at the end for singing time in both Dutch and English. We also run parenting workshops such as “How To Talk So Kids Will Listen”, “Designing Spaces for Montessori Children”, as well as first aid courses.
